Secret 1: Planning for blogging

Planner of your goals
Planning

Sometimes it’s challenging to see perspective because there are only 24 hours in a day. You know you need to plan; you need to work out how many hours you are willing to set aside to blog. It could be one hour a day, or you could break it up into different times of the day because you have other commitments, either work or family.

When planning, it’s often a good idea to draw up a timetable for your day.

  • Block your times where you might have breakfast, lunch or dinner
  • Take children to school or pick them up.
  • Meetings
  • Work
  • Emails
  • Training

Secret 2: You

You might already be a blogger and have the necessary skills, but you would like to enhance your existing skills to be a professional writer. Either way, you need to be unique and better than all other bloggers. While you are thinking about this, you also need to consider your weaknesses, and the way to do this is to:

  • Ask for feedback on your current blogs.
  • Find unique ways to engage others.
  • Write every day to strengthen your writing skills.

Business Plan

You will need to write a business plan and a road map of your vision to include:

  • Learn new skills
  • Edit and revamp old posts
  • What can you do to your blogs to make them number one on Google?
  • What about branding
  • Income support
  • Marketing strategies
  • Drive traffic to your website

Be objective, factual and honest with yourself. By doing a timetable, you will see specific time slots where you can blog.

WHY it’s worth paying attention to the secrets of blogging

Paying attention to the professionals and reading about their secrets only benefits us. Also, following professional bloggers can be ideal because we learn from the best. You might say to yourself, and I’ve been a blogger for several years. I don’t need to know any further details. I can’t entirely agree with that theory because we need to understand the secrets of successful bloggers, it’s such a necessary process, and It’s not that easy to earn money online. Wouldn’t it be nice to say I’ve made some extra income blogging?

Once you have decided that you want to become a professional blogger and you would like to know more about how they go about making the millions that they do, then you will need to stick to it. Otherwise, you will fail.

The things that professionals considered:

  • Managing Time: decide to Part-time blogger or a fulltime blogger
  • Finances: how many hours are needed to work to earn income.
  • Social media: Facebook, email
  • Family time

Secret 3. It can take months

Time it can take months

The biggest mistake I often find when I read comments on the Internet is when new bloggers expect to earn money within weeks. To become a successful blogger is to understand it can take anywhere from six months plus.

It’s essential to know that it can be a volatile market, and you should not invest everything in one niche; you need to consider expanding. You could be fortunate and start earning money much sooner than six months.

You will need to

  • Have Loyal followers
  • Provide content for free
  • Go above and beyond and over-deliver
  • Write content that is relevant and useful.
  • Write plain and simple text.
  • Share information, knowledge and skills

Time

Another graph indicates how much time is needed to focus on blogging; 14% spend less than 1-hour blogging than 31 % who spend 6 hours or more.

Blog Length

As a blogger, I often read comments from feedback that the blogs are way too long; some say that a blog’s length should be no more than 500 words. Some even say that’s too long. But as you can see from the graph above, a blog’s word length is getting longer.

Word Length

So who is right? Who is wrong? According to the survey results, below 54% say a successful blog is 3000+ or more. That’s about the length of my blog on this topic. Bloggers who get better results have 3,000 plus words.

My Opinion

Blogging Statistics is part of a study conducted through a survey by Andy Crestodina and published on orbitmedia.com. It shows that bloggers are getting better at investing more time in their blogs.

This may seem strange since writing a blog is more laborious. However, the graph above shows word length is on the rise, and the most popular type of topic to write about is “How to.”
