How to,  Keyword Search

Finding Keywords For Beginners

As a beginner blogger, marketer, affiliate marketer, business owner or writer, you will use keywords or phrases to write your article or post for your website. Finding keywords for beginners will show what a keyword is and how to find keywords using a keyword finder program such as Jaaxy. Any word or phrase searched is a keyword.

What does keyword research mean?

The keyword research means using a word or a phrase that we enter into a Search Term box at a library, University or school, Google or some other search engine that will produce results of queries. Researching keywords will show which ones are popular and will show the volume of traffic.

What is keyword searching?

When you do keyword searching in a program such as Jaaxy, it will tell you the topics people want to know more about. Once you have your topic, you will be able to work out which keywords to look for.

For Instance, we will use “What plants can I grow in the AeroGarden.” Using Jaaxy to enter your keyword phrase you will be able to see if the results for the keyword and if good results have been provided.

How do I find Keywords for a website?

Okay, we have chosen a topic that we will use in the example. “What plants can I grow in the AeroGarden”. You have purchased a new AeroGarden system, and you have received some seeds to get you started. You have watched your plants grow, and now they have had their life and want to replant more seeds, but you are not sure what you can grow in your AeroGarden unit and want to write a post on what can be produced using this system.

How to find Keywords Using Jaaxy

So you enter “What plants can I grow in the AeroGarden” as a keyword phrase search in Jaaxy. You just type in the keyword or phrase and click search. You will find several results that will populate the area on your screen. Before doing this your self I will show you some results from the above phrase.

Jaaxy Keyword Finder search box

Keywords and Phrases: Example 1

So now we have entered the keyword phrase “What plants can I grow in the AeroGarden.” This is part of the results shown that have some relevance, the rest of the keywords don’t make sense so I have eliminated them from this exercise. In the results area, you will find keyword that we used, “ What plants can I grow in the AeroGarden and several columns. You will see two suitable phrase results below.

Keyword, Avg<10, Traffic <10, QSR 4, KQI Great, SEO 84 and Domains (Search)

Let us take a look at the first keyword phrase above. The results show above

Ave = <10

The average number of monthly search results I possibly may receive globally for the keyword phrase “What plants can I grow in the AeroGarden

Traffic = <10

This number is the number of visits the post should receive per month if found on page 1 of Google, Bing or Yahoo.

QSR (Quoted Search Results) = 4

QSR produces the number of competing websites using the exact keyword in Google.

KQI (Keyword Quality Indicator = Great

Jaaxy has its system that indicates if the keyword phrase is

  • Green for Great
  • Orange for normal
  • Red for poor

SEO = 84

SEO is an overall keyword score based on traffic and competition. A high score means you will rank high on the first page for that keyword.

What can I grow in my AeroGarden” shows better results

AVG = 32, Traffic = 6. QSR = 200 , KQI = Great, SEO = 84

The second one is providing better results than the first. The search results show much high traffic but the competition is much higher, It would be a great choice to pick if the competition was much lower.

Key words and Phrases Under Related section Example 2

The great thing about Jaaxy is that you will find an extension called Under Related when you search keywords or phrases. I this area, I found a key phrase:

As we can see in the Under Related area, there are three possibilities. For this exercise, we will choose the third one, “What are the best plants to grow in my AeroGarden.”

The results are not that fantastic, AVG <10, Traffic <10, QSR 0, KQI is Great and SEO is 84. QSR needs to be over 30 if possible, it shows no competition. It could work out very well.

Now we will have a look at the Brainstorm are, which is located next to Under Related

In Brainstorm Example 3

When brainstorming ideas we need to write them down. The Brainstorm has a phrase called “Best Plants to Grow in an AeroGarden” and What to grow in an AeroGarden, both have produced some good results.

AVG = 24, Traffic = 5. QSR = 100 , KQI = Great, SEO = 93

Example 4

What to grow in an AeroGarden

AVG = 64, Traffic = 11. QSR = 2 , KQI = Great, SEO = 94

Alphabet Soup Example 5

In this example we have used Alphabet Soup and we typed in “plants to grow in an AeroGarden

  • What are the best plants to grow in the Aerogarden
  • Best Tomato plant for growing in an AeroGarden
  • Growing Tomatoes in an AeroGarden

AVG = 10, Traffic = <10. QSR = 2 , KQI = Great, SEO = 84

Finding keywords that have low competition for SEO

As a beginner blog writer you site will be very new and unknown. So what does this mean for you? It means you need to search lower competition keywords.

Once you have your keywords or phrases you can go to Search Analysis and check your competition.So how do you do this? You take you keywords or phrases and type them into the search box to see what others are doing that makes them successful.

In this area you can also take a look at their keywords, meta tags, content, rank and backlinks through a process called reverse engineering.

Once you have typed in your niche subject, you will see the top ten ranking sites such as Google, Bing and Yahoo. By studying your results that relate to your articles, you will lean more about what your competitors are doing that is working for them.

Keyword search strategy in Search Analysis

A keyword search strategy is combining keywords and phrases and includes some search terms, truncated and wildcard variations of search terms, subject headings.

Let us look again at Plants for AeroGardens using some search terms. We will use the search phrase on “what to grow in an AeroGarden“.
