How do businesses pay, and what is the cost?
As a business owner, I wanted to know how much it would cost me to hire a writer. I found a statement that I didn’t like, which put me off wanting to join them. “You get what you pay for. And we can prove it.”
Payment is based on
- hourly contracts are based on the number of keystrokes.
- They take images of screenshots of the freelancer’s screen so you can see that they are putting in the time
- Fixed-price contracts are an agreement, and payment is made once the deal has been reached
How do you pay?
- American Express, Discover
The surcharge usually is a 3% admin fee for each payment.
How does Upwork Pay you?
- Fixed Fee projects
- Freelancers and agencies are charged 20%, 10% or 5% service fee, and it depends on the total amount the client has been billed.
My Final Opinion of Upwork
What I liked about this organisation was my ability to explore the community and feel about them without joining. However, If I wanted to post or receive any notification, I would have to register.
What I did have access to was
- Latest Announcements
- New solutions to issues
- Recent Threads
- Start a conversation
- And so much more
“You get what you pay for. And we can prove it.” Such a rude comment, but that’s my opinion. You can even chat with the Community Bot! Sorry, I want to talk with real people, not a Bot!
